Barnstable, MA: Jr.Tech, Inc., a nonprofit educational organization based in Barnstable, MA is pleased to announce hands-on STEM programs serving Cape Cod and the surrounding communities. National Grid and Verizon Foundation have demonstrated their support of Jr.Tech’s mission to engage 4th – 12th grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) education.
Phyllis Russell, Executive Director of Jr.Tech throughout its 10-year history shares, “Jr.Tech serves families and students across the Cape offering hands-on, curriculum-focused STEM learning programs and career path mentoring. We are thrilled that National Grid and the Verizon Foundation have joined us in supporting STEM programming outside the classroom for students across the Cape region.”
The 2016 February Vacation Offerings include:
Computer Game Developer!
Students, learn to create your own single level and multilevel computer games, complete with animated adventures, characters, sounds and objects.
Grades 6 – 9
Tuesday – Thursday, 2/16 – 2/18

Art & Technology!
Students, do you love art and computer software tools? If so than this is the camp for you! Create, design and build fun projects each day using Adobe Creative Suite.

STEM Camps in March include:
Crazy About Catapults!
Students, come lay siege to your opponents! You and your teammate will build a table-top catapult and together will compete against other teams during the catapult launching competitions!
Grades 4 – 6
Saturday, March 5
9am – 3pm
Computer Programming in Java – Level 2
Enhance your programming and coding skills by exploring additional Java concepts. Level 1 required.
Saturdays: 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 & 4/2
9am – 3pm
