Sharks 101 – Intro to Shark Biology
Sharks were present here on Earth before the dinosaurs. There are over 500 known species of sharks in the world, and they can be found in every ocean. What makes sharks unlike other animals? What characteristics do they have that enable to hunt so well? Swim so fast? Some live solitary lives, others live in groups. Learn about their biology and develop an understanding of their anatomy. Learn about sharks’ teeth, diet, feeding behaviors, reproduction, and more! Enjoy hands-on activities and dissect a spiny dogfish shark. (6 hrs instruction) Pack a lunch, drink & snack.
