National Grid, Massachusetts, joins Jr.Tech in championing young women to explore STEM career paths. As the Platinum Sponsor of Girls STEM Summit-Statewide 2024, National Grid, MA, shares our passion and mission in providing opportunities for young females to attend a conference where they explore, meet female STEM role models, and envision themselves in STEM careers for their future.

Phyllis Russell, President of Jr.Tech, states, “We are thankful for the continued support and collaboration with National Grid, MA, to enable us to host the 2024 Summit.”

Jr.Tech will host Girls STEM Summit 2024, the premier Massachusetts statewide conference for girls* in grades 8–12 interested in pursuing STEM degrees and exploring many STEM career choices. Since 2011, Jr.Tech has hosted 16 summits.

When: Sunday, April 7, 2024
Where: New location – UMass, Lowell
Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Who: 8th –12th grade participants interested in STEM (block group registration and individual registration available)
Pricing: $75 (includes lunch, and breakout materials)

The goals of the Girls STEM Summit-Statewide are to:

  • Encourage students to continue studying STEM disciplines throughout high school to prepare for college degree programs.
  • Inspire through interaction with female professional role models working in STEM fields and through hands-on learning career tracks.
  • Impact and bridge the gap between girls’ passion for the topics and helping them find their way to successful STEM careers.
  • Fill the gender gap in STEM jobs today.
